I am a graduate student at Vanderbilt pursuing a Masters of Marketing. I also hold a dual degree in International Business and International Studies from the University of MissouriI've utilized my international business expertise to assist with decision-making. Here are some highlights on my professional experience:Market Research:As an intern at my university's international trade center, I conducted market research to help a local business assess the viability of entering the Chinese market. By analyzing consumer preferences, competitor products, US-China trade agreements, potential points-of contact, and even tracking social media trends, I created a comprehensive document that provided actionable data and key insights the business. The business went on to re-enter the Chinese market later that year.Strategic Planning:I developed a marketing strategy for a UV technology company that was seeking to expand into the Singapore and Malaysian markets. My responsibilities included researching political and economic structure, analyzing consumer trends, crafting mock-ups, and creating recommendations for mode-of-entry and positioning strategies. This document gave the company a comprehensive view of what each market offered and a strategy that they could implement and build-off of.Additionally I bring hands-on experience in business management to the table. I managed the operations for a Chinese immersion camp that accommodated around 200 total people. My responsibilities also covered various areas: I managed the finances of the camp and the retail store, handled camper and staff documentation, arranged transportation, purchased supplies, helped arrange activities, and managed the camp budget. The position also required strong interpersonal and professional communication; from parents, the host college, vendors, and our teachers from China.
