I started focusing all my attention on one team, the Denver Broncos, in September 2015. This allowed me to concentrate on building an audience within our network for one NFL club. I managed the "Denver Broncos on 247Sports" Facebook page, which gathered more than 443,000 Likes, and ran the team website (den.247sports.com). The Broncos site attracted nearly four million page views in March 2016, making it one of the most popular NFL sites on the 247Sports network. In addition, the Facebook page has grown by 190,000 "Likes" over the last seven months.Our company is now a subsidiary of CBS Sports, which purchased 247Sports in January 2016.

I wrote a number of short blog posts per day on various NFL teams. My work focused on the NFC East and AFC East. I was also responsible for regular national pieces and major league news that ran across the network.

I covered local high schools, college athletic programs and professional teams in South Texas. It sharpened my skills as a reporter and helped me improve as a writer.When not in the field, I ran the sports desk two-to-three times per weeks. During those shifts I assembled the sports section for the next day's newspaper under tight deadlines.

I covered everything from bike races and runs to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (then the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) to events at the Olympic Training Center to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
