Hi! I am Ian McDonnell, an ambitious small business owner and full-time student at Oakland Community College. As a college student in the business administration program, I've learned a lot about business and the fundamentals of the market, but owning my own business has allowed me to see the market first-hand. The short time owning my own business has given me practical experience making business models, practicing accounting, looking at live analytics, making smart merchandise buys, and communicating with wholesalers, customers, and other businesses. My mission is to constantly expand my knowledge and continue to gain valuable real-world experience.Beyond finishing college and growing my business, one of my long-term goals is to make a difference in the environment. As an avid outdoorsman and conversationalist, I hear horror stories about environmental mishaps and catastrophes. With time I'd love to make a legitimate difference on the legislative and public opinion fronts through journalism, volunteering, and other forms of activism.
