• I was the sole intern selected out of forty working as part of Fidelity's Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) team, part of the company's research and development wing experimenting with cutting edge technologies. • I worked side-by-side with an ambitious team of developers and designers, and was exposed to the future of technology and given freedom to invent and speculate. • I primarily worked with the blockchain team, developing innovative blockchain based applications and using modern cryptographic protocols and encoding standards. • I researched and experimented with popular open-source blockchain technologies such as Opentimestamps, integrating these technologies into a web-based application. • I was also given the opportunity to work with Fidelity’s cybersecurity team where I explored modern security standards (OWASP ASVS) and tools (Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Wireshark) • I assisted other teams with VR and AR projects, developing immersive experiences for cutting edge hardware such as the Microsoft HoloLens, Magic Leap, and Oculus Rift. • I participated in the FCAT hackathon as part of a small team that developed a novel approach to cryptocurrency wallet authentication. I took an active role in the ideation phase and co-development of a prototype which I presented with my team.• Along with a team of other interns, I undertook a project which sought to develop technology to improve the efficiency of Fidelity's hiring process. Over the course of two months, we conceived an internal knowledge sharing platform to expedite employee orientation and presented our project to an audience of Fidelity executives. The project was very well received and consideration was given to integrating the system into the existing resources.
