Duties include assisting in organizing, building, maintaining, and monitoring the geographic information system and GIS database layers and relational database information for the City of Edmond. Work includes developing, implementing and supporting mapping applications, creating services and tools for the web, desktop and mobile devices under the ArcGIS Server Architecture and using the ESRI JavaScript API. Develop web based applications for both internal and public use. Develop scripts to support internal process automation Assist in the design of GIS data models. - Administer web services through ArcGIS Server to support a number of applications.- Build custom web GIS applications (compatible in desktop and mobile environments) using ArcGIS API for JavaScript/HTML and CSS.- Develop internal web GIS applications for editing, viewing, and querying data.- Deployed web GIS applications for the public including address verification, survey monuments, and public art applications.- Developed a number of scripts and scheduled tasks to support GIS processing for ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Enterprise.- Build specific custom tools for web applications.- Configure GIS environment Asset Management System (Trimble/Cityworks). Configuration includes adding web mapping services, building web maps and creating service definitions for City Department use.

Duties include assisting in organizing, building, maintaining, and monitoring the geographic information system and GIS database layers and related database information for the City of Edmond using ArcInfo, ArcGIS, and ArcCatalog. Assist users of the GIS, work order, permitting systems and other related software in accessing the system, data and in producing maps and reports. Maintain, update and verify geographic information systems data and associated relational database. Assist in GPS field survey and conversion of field data. Assist in design and implementation of ArcGIS interfaces and applications, which provide additional functionality. Provide documentation for training for systems. Assist in the upkeep of GIS printers and plotters. Perform QA/QC of datasets.- Provide GIS Application customer support for GIS, Permitting, and Work Order systems. Troubleshoot issues associated with these applications when necessary.- Maintain maps including streets, aerial maps, neighborhoods, parks/trails, utilities, custom maps and update metadata.- Organize and plan GPS surveying projects for data collection including field correction projects and other GIS features.- Utilize GIS Research/Analysis techniques including using COGO for legal description checks and proximity analysis for ISO fire mapping.- GIS data quality control experience including completing the QC of the 2004 and 2007 airphoto/planimetric/topographic data, and easement conversion project 2005/2006 projects. Also QC data in SDE when updates are made and maintain QC logs.- Experienced in working with staff members on project conversion including the electric data model 2007/2008 and the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants Tooltime conversion GIS/Cityworks project of 2009.

Acquire data sources such as air photos, historical plats, government documents, and survey notes needed to develop various GIS datasets. Digitize source data to generate land cover/land use coverages. Create new GIS tree database to store records of tree species recorded in 1871. Maintain coverages, databases, shapefiles, and layer files stored on the Biological Survey network. Complete other mapping projects and database updates as assigned. Maintain GIS processes and procedures for operating the GTCO digitizer and ArcInfo work station.

Duties include providing GIS support to staff members with projects related to short and long range transportation planning. Update and maintain 2000 and 2030 employment files that are used in future transportation studies. Maintain and edit traffic counts GIS database. Maintain and edit transportation network files such as the 2025 OCARTS plan, Alternate IV Congestion Routes, Accident Locations, and Screen Line locations. Assist staff members with creating, editing, symbolizing, finishing, and plotting high quality transportation maps. Assist staff members with GPS data collection along major traffic corridors within the OCARTS area.
