We are a global provider of Mechanisms, Composites, Structures and Suspensions to the Automotive Industry.The site in Coventry has manufacturing capability for both composites and mechanisms. We Supply parts to most major Automotive OEM's in Europe and globally as far as China and Brazil. Our Coventry composites facility was commissioned in January 2021 with new state of the art equipment including 2 large Autoclaves for manufacture of Carbon Fibre products. For Mechanisms we have 6 coil feed 600 Tonne presses producing 800,000 parts per week. Specialised and flexible multi axis CNC's machining over 250,000 forgings and castings per week. Specialised automated assembly cells with cycle times ranging from 5 sec to 25 sec.

The organisation is multi-dimensional managing through functional matrix structures and more traditional organisational structure.Reporting into the President of Construction Division, I Managed a senior team of 8 people covering all business functions including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, HR, Sales Development, Engineering, Product Management and Finance.

LTI are part of the Manganese Bronze Group, manufacturers of the famous London Black Taxi, with an annual turnover of over £85 million. Production processes ranged from a batch production press shop producing 12,000 parts per week, through to full vehicle build, paint and final assembly.Reporting into the MD my role covered HR, production and other associated support functions. Leading a team of 9 managers with a further 350 employees reporting to them I was responsible for all aspects of production delivery, quality and cost, in a highly unionised environment.

Worked on other Automotive press tool, jig and fixture programmes for GM, Rover, Leyland Trucks and Volvo cars.
