NX CAM programmer within the Aerospace industry for Radius Aerospace in Sheffield. NPI and CI projects delivering modern manufacturing techniques across a wide and varied manufacturing portfolio. This is a new role to me after over 5 years contracting. Previously I was a contract programmer and ME for Depuy Synthes in county Cork, Ireland (3 years). NX programming, method development and NPI manufacturing engineer within their medical device plant. This is a self employed position. Befor this I spent 2 years in Rolls-Royce in Washington within their fleet support disc manufacturing plant as a contract ME and NX programmer. Prior to this position I spent 7 years at the AMRC (Advanced Manufacturing Research Center) in Sheffield, England before I made the decision to apply my trade on a self-employed basis at Rolls-Royce in the North of England.My role was to take legacy components already manufactured at Rolls-Royce and with Siemens NX and Vericut software redesign the manufacturing process. applying modern manufacturing techniques, tooling and on machine inspection to improve quality, reduce manual interventions and improve cut time. These skills were honed whilst in my employment with the AMRC.Initially at the AMRC I was employed as a project engineer, I gained promotion to NC programmer within 2 years and manufacturing engineer 1 year later within the rotatives team. Fully trained in Siemens NX10 and Vericut to create machining strategies for large Aerospace components, optimizing machine tool capabilities and process automation. In my last year at the AMRC one of my roles included delivering training for Sharing-in-Growth (SiG) across the UK in a consultancy role where manufacturing issues are identified and solved on site by myself to UK based SME's and the Rolls-Royce supply chain.I was also instrumental in the development of the AMRCs hybrid manufacturing department, where the Mori-DMG Lasertec L65 3D is housed. (Additive / Subtractive Manufacturing).I have a recognized history in developing and delivering technical excellence across Europe and wish to continue this throughout my career.
