About Ian Parry

Experienced and proven CTO, having worked in various technology markets since 1998.Previously I held senior positions with Autonomy, and Fast search and transfer, specialising in the vertical search market.In 2008 I co-founded Globrix.com, raising investment with News International and building a small high calibre team. The site rapidly grew to 1.5m unique users per month, and over 1 million properties. Many of the features were completely new to the market, and only now forming part of competitor websites. It rapidly grew to the 3rd largest site in its sector by 2009 with around 2m unique users per month. It was well received and supported by the agent community. It was sold on to Zoopla in 2012.Globrix had a simple and intuitive search experience matched by a novel way of transforming unstructured property listings. The search offered rich features to allow keyword filtering by a broad set of features such as "south facing garden", "cinema room" and so forth built from a semantic model.
