When I was told that was a tad too OCD for an 11-year-old, the only thing to do was to find a career where that became an asset and not a liability. That added with a healthy natural dose of southern hospitality has served me well in my 10+ years in the hospitality/event industry. The result is a gregarious people person who knows that no matter what the mission, a smile, and pursuit of quality can go a long way. My career started in hospitality and has taken me on a journey from PR to events to operations. This path is one that continues to surprise, delight and teach me daily. Though I like to always remain prepared, quick thinking and out of the box problem-solving is de rigueur. I work off a philosophy I like to coin "full fantasy". No matter what the project is, big or small, identify the key objectives and give it everything you can so the message is loud and clear. People sometimes get caught up in trying to do everything when in reality, a couple of strategic details can have lasting effects 10x over. Thankfully I have had the privilege to work with some of the best brands in the business who had budgets to match and wanted and were able to go full tilt. I have also at the same time worked for companies who followed the same ethos and top-notch service was the ultimate goal for anything we put our name on. Having slowly risen through the ranks, learning the ins and outs of each position and stage as I go has given me confidence that can be seen in how I approach every task. Clients feeling confident in my abilities and actions leads to stronger evolved partnerships and renewed investment year after year. Counting on this allows companies I work for to know that I have not only their reputation but also their financial interests at the forefront of everything I do. My father loved to quote Mark Twain's famous line, find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never work a day in your life. I have delightedly accomplished that being apart of this industry.
