I am Chair of the Landscape Institute's Policy and Communications Committee and serve as a Trustee on the LI Board. I served as a government appointed Member of the South Downs National Park Authority from April 2013 to July 2023. During this time, I served as a member of the Planning Committee and on various working groups. I was elected as Deputy Chair of the Authority from 2019-2020, Chair from 2020 - 2022 and again as Deputy Chair from 2022-2023. I was also elected as Deputy Chair of National Parks England from 2021 - 2022 I regard my roles within the Authority not only as a great privilege but also as a significant opportunity to help manage change in an iconic English landscape.I operate an independent consultancy based in SE England with interests in promoting good landscape design and management, green infrastructure, community engagement and influencing / shaping policy. I have over 25 years' experience in local government, private and NGO sector planning and planning related landscape work. I work alone or in collaboration with other professionals to deliver clients' requirements.
