To describe myself as ethnically confused would be an understatement. I'm a true blend of Dutch, Indonesian, American, and British, embodying an intriguing mix of cultures that hopefully reflects my unique perspective on the world. As a director, I pride myself on my versatility, seamlessly navigating the diverse realms of feature films, award-winning music videos, documentaries, branded-content films, and TV commercials.My creative journey has taken me across a spectrum of projects, collaborating with renowned entities such as Sky, Myprotein, Huawei, and Nickelodeon. Notably, my directorial debut, "The Banksy Job," made waves with its world premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The film earned its place in The Hollywood Reporter's selection of the best films of the year and Vogue Magazine's curated list of must-watch films.With a career spanning over 18 years, I've been fortunate enough to earn recognition and accolades, winning a number of awards in the process, including being shortlisted for UKMVA's and Shark Kinsale awards. My music video for the acclaimed artist Charlie Winston's "Lost in the Memory," a single-take live performance film, was also selected by Promonews as one of the music videos of the year in 2020.Driven by a love for storytelling and a desire to bring ideas to life, I continue to challenge myself creatively, working across multiple genres and platforms. I'm grateful for the opportunities that come my way and the collaborative spirit of the industry that allows me to keep growing as a filmmaker.
