The system was designed from the outset for vendor neutrality and flexibility, and over numerous releases supporting product and/or infrastructure initiatives I have specified substantial additions to the platform's flexibility. The role requires close work with customers, project managers, development, and support teams during all phases of the life-cycle. In addition, detailed knowledge of the network architectures and supporting devices is required to ensure that configurations can be deployed, modified and removed from the network efficiently. The solution has implemented support for layer 2 and layer 3 configurations on: ● Nortel Passport,● Juniper routers running JUNOS-E and JUNOS,● Cisco routers and switches,● Tellabs 8840/60,● Alcatel-Lucent 7x50, 7210, and ● Firewalls including Juniper Netscreen 5400, and Fortinet Fortigate 5140. The system supports external system access via XML/SOAP and interfaces to devices or EMS via Telnet/SSH, CORBA, XML/SOAP.
