• Process design team member for a new 50,000 barrel per day SA-SAGD facility. Specified and sized facility process equipment. Created and revised engineering and project documentation. Developed and optimized design.
• Developed automated tank sizing tool that was adopted as a company-wide standard resource.
• Substantiated $3M in potential capital cost savings by tightening project line sizing design margins.
• Successfully managed and executed the development of all plant interconnecting piping PIDs.

• Contributed to 30+ projects: plant MOCs, process studies, conceptual design, FEED, detailed design, start-up support, incident investigation. Organised and directed multi-disciplinary engineering effort on 20+ projects.
• Investigated and successfully identified cause of minor tank explosion at a small oil battery. Recommended design modifications were accepted and immediately implemented.
• Project managed $1.6M test separator replacement project from inception to construction package handover.
• Represented HOCS Projects during three secondments to client companies in Calgary and northern Alberta..

Secondment to MEG Energy Corp. at their Christina Lake Regional Project SAGD Facility. Acted as an on-site member of the MEG Operations Engineering Group, with a focus on Water Treatment and Steam Generation. Also supported the newly formed Sustaining Capital Projects team.

Secondment to Laricina Energy Ltd. in their Sustaining Projects group. Worked closely with Production, Field Operations, QA/QC, Cost Control, Engineering, Procurement & Construction teams to execute quick-turnaround upgrades and sustainable operations projects at the Germain Commercial Demonstration Plant.

Installed, improved upon, maintained, and operated an Impulse Atomization Spray Tower capable of achieving temperatures above 1200º C. Conducted tests and collected results with help of 3000 fps high speed camera. Presented results and findings to 30+ scientists at end of term.

Supported researchers and patent holders in their efforts to scale up production prototypes and evaluate suitable paths to market. Tested and refined new production methods for Western Canada's first commercial Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics (LTCC) production line.

Primrose North Gas Project, Alberta
