Ever since I was young, understanding how something works has been my passion. I remember building model rockets with my dad, an aerospace engineer, and launching them in open fields. The accomplishment I felt as I watched the rocket launch fueled my love for engineering. During my high school education, I learned the fundamentals of chemistry and physics. I immediately became enthralled with the subjects as the combination of the two highlighted the reasons for what happens in the physical world. Once I learned everything that my high school had to offer on the subjects, I worked with my chemistry teacher outside of class to increase my knowledge. I began to understand the basics of organic chemistry and thermodynamics to better understand the science behind major engineering innovations.My passion for knowledge and engineering carried me through my education at Texas A&M University. The available resources at the school were more extensive than anything I could imagine as a kid. I joined organizations such as The American Institute of Chemical Engineering and Omega Chi Epsilon to further connect with other engineers and the professional world. I conducted research experiments that showcased engineering principles, all with the same captivation I had as a kid. And it was here that I realized that I still had so much to learn.So now, this passion is what drives me as a professional. I know my purpose is to improve the world we live in, and my passion will help me achieve this. Although I have already learned so much, there will always be more to learn, more problems to solve, and more to build. And for this, I am very grateful.
