Ian has more than 20 years industry experience with a strong track record for developing and implementing business strategy, business management, and growing and leading diverse high performing teams for major infrastructure projects. He is a recognised executive leader with a proven ability to build and sustain relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders. He is passionate about growing and nurturing teams with great capability and expertise to be able to respond to his clients' complex challenges. Not afraid to roll up his sleeves, Ian is a visible leader who is equally comfortable engaging at a strategic level as well as operational levels, managing the business and leading projects. In Ian’s current role he is responsible for leading the engagement with Aurecon’s transport clients in Aotearoa New Zealand. He works with teams to develop solutions tailored to our clients’ needs, focussing on delivering high quality outcomes and ensuring relationships are enhanced. Prior to this, Ian was Aurecon’s North Island Transport Leader, responsible for the operational performance of a large team servicing a diverse range of government and private sector clients in Transport Infrastructure, including for some of New Zealand’s largest infrastructure projects such as Auckland’s Western Ring Route and City Rail Link.
