Served the accounting and taxation needs of small businesses in the town of Buxton, Derbyshire with a small team until I sold the practice to a competitor in 2000

Through implementation of financial reporting systems, including job costing, I assisted the company's growth from about £500k to £2M+ turnover.

Posted the computerised sales and purchase ledgers and the handwritten cashbooks into an ancient Twinlock nominal ledger and then tried to balance the c£15M totaling trial balance to the penny, manually each month. No Xero in those days, but it was good training!
