Ian was born and raised in the UK but also holds Swiss citizenship, resides in Switzerland and works worldwide. Since 2016, Ian is a consulting partner & has over 40 years commercial (buy/sell) & business P&L experience, working around the world and in a variety of industries, negotiating at CxO & political levels. Before moving to his final corporate role; managing some tricky issues in Brasil for the (private equity) owners, he led global commercial activity for 5 years at LM, then a $1bn renewables company now owned by GE, one of the largest component suppliers to the wind industry. He reported to the CEO with a team of 40 people (9 directs) in sales, marketing, service & logistics positions worldwide. Before joining LM in 2009, he worked as an Associate of Deloitte on 3 major turnaround assignments in Germany, Switz, UK, USA, for 3 x $billion clients, plus 3 small start ups in ZürichWhen Ian left Dow Chemical in 2008 he was in 'top 200' leadership group (out of 50,000) & running Europe Shared Services*. As the senior Shared Services leader in Europe, he sat on the European board & Global Shared Services, Supply Chain, Sourcing & Human Rights Leadership teamsFor 3 yrs, he was Ass.VP of Strategic Sourcing & Global Trading with responsibility for the company’s $ 9.5bn spend covering raw materials, packaging, ext. manuf, IT, corp services plus trading operations with turnover of $400m, through 80 reports (10 direct)He held various sales jobs in chemicals & plastics from 84 and in 91, moved to Switzerland. After holding a number of Marketing and Asset management jobs, he moved to Frankfurt as Euro Sales Dir for Dow’s Epoxy business in 96.
