I'm Toby Tyler and I've been involved in the restaurant industry since I was 16 and I'm a permanent resident living in the Bahamas for the last 27 years. Apart from being a successful restaurateur my other passion is blending & creating unique white & dark spirits that taste great and win awards. Over the last 18 years I've entered blends in many international competitions. Those blends have won over 20 medals. Some of those blends have won multiple gold medals. Also I'm passionate about the restaurant industry - after running a successful restaurant in the Bahamas for 14 years I have also consulted for other high end properties in the Bahamas.My Proudest Moments:- One Drop Rum 10 Year Old won Gold in the Premium Rum and the People’s Choice Award 2021 in St. Barth's.- Afrohead Rum XO 15 won the only Gold in the Ultra Premium category of the Global Rum Masters 2015.- 2X Wine Spectator award-winning wine lists. - Multi Award Medalist & People’s Choice Award-winning lead rum maker.I’ve worked with top distilleries, and chemists throughout the Caribbean and the US. I understand each part of the blending process and work with world-class distillers & chemists to blend truly exceptional spirits.Pink Sand Spirit, Co. is a new venture I've been creating flavours for - releasing some fabulous high quality white spirits and flavoured seltzers. Also over the years , I've also had the privilege of transforming luxury boutique hotels and high end restaurants into thriving profit makers.
