I led multiple concurrent programme workstreams utilising internal and third-party teams.Key Achievements• Delivery: Operating a multimillion-pound budget, I directed third-party suppliers (inc. CGI, Capgemini, DXC) with combined team size of 50+ people in testing interoperability of legacy smart meters with the Smart DCC telecommunications network• Efficiency: Led a cross functional team to establish new forms of technical equivalence across thousands of smart meter model combinations, reducing testing time and cost. This resulted in a 70% testing cost reduction • Stakeholder engagement: The programme was extremely fast paced, and due to the nature of legacy smart meters, issues constantly arose that required urgent resolution to avoid delays. I was always able to bring together stakeholders from government, energy suppliers and at senior levels within DCC to ensure issues were resolved in a timely manner• Data analytics: Proposed and created a data analytics function, whose work underpinned the programme. The team gave insights to categorise and prioritise the approval submissions of 16 million smart meters, and provided management dashboards and reporting which became the source of truth for internal and external stakeholders across the programmeI took an extended break between contracts when my daughter was born, to enjoy time with her.
