About Ian Toner

At Verus we advise clients with total assets of over $1 trillion and manage around $10 billion of assets in OCIO discretionary mandates. As Chief Investment Officer I am responsible for our overall investment output for both discretionary and non-discretionary clients, and have led the development of our investment process, our investment content, our approach to ESG, and our approach to addressing the challenges faced by Emerging & Diverse investment managers. I am exceptionally proud of the team we have built, and the focus they bring every day to working for our clients. I am a highly experienced communicator in print, webinars and through media, an effective speaker to all sizes and types of audiences, and a regular keynote speaker.I am a UK citizen and have worked on both sides of the Atlantic. I have a law degree from Oxford University and I am a CFA Charterholder. I have been happily married for over 30 years and am the proud father of two children. I am active as a trustee, board member and investment committee member and chair for not-for-profit organizations.
