• Hired as #2 in command of the US operation focused on all things marketing & product while helping the business wherever needed. Over 3 years, grew North American customers from <1K to 35K+ ($12M ACMR), accounting partners from <100 to 2K+, and employees from 5 to 300+ spread over 3 offices. Also played a critical part in establishing Xero as the #2 online accounting software in the US market.• Defined the ongoing US business, marketing and product strategies. Drove delivery of US product including localization, QuickBooks conversion, and tax/1099 integrations. Built the US marketing and product teams which ultimately grew from supporting US only activities to delivering global marketing functions and global payroll.• Oversaw all US marketing activities which included US accounting & direct channels (established), vertical marketing, events (like US Xerocon), search, sales tools & collateral, PR, & advertising.• Championed the formation of a research, product strategy and product marketing departments.• Co-led the early US Business Development efforts that included key partnerships like ADP, Harvest, and Bill.com.
