I am recent undergraduate from Northern Illinois University with a degree in public health with an emphasis on health promotion, also with a minor in rehabilitative counseling. During my time at NIU, I acted as the Secretary for the NIU Student Health Organization. During my time with the organization, I attended several member meetings which share ongoing health concerns and provide useful information to promote healthy lifestyles. Additionally, the organization encouraged members, including myself, to go out and volunteer in the community, such as participation in blood drives. I have experience in customer service and program management through a part-time job at the YMCA of Rock River Valley, working as a relationship manager. I have experience in healthcare through a part-time job at Walgreens, working as a pharmacy technician. I also have experience implementing prevention programs through my time interning at the Boone County Drug Prevention Coalition. My classmates, instructors, and co-workers have described me as a strong relationship-builder, hard worker, and confident. I've had a lot of experience in relationship-building, as well as communication through my own involvement in the Student Health Organization (SHO) at my university, and through the several job positions I have held. I’m excited to pursue my career aspirations through my position as an intake coordinator at the Association for Individual Development.
