Ian Wardley is a project manager and economist with more than 25 years’ experience in a variety of assignments within Canada and the US with an emphasis on large complex multidisciplinary infrastructure projects including transportation, public transit, and fare collection. During his career he has demonstrated an ability to understand, synthesize and interpret complex project requirements across a variety of disciplines including technical, non-technical and senior management audiences. Ian has applied his experience, education, leadership, inter personal, project management, writing and presentation skills to assist in the leadership of large infrastructure projects, and managing day-to-day issues necessary to ensure the project’s success. Since 2003, Ian has worked independently as principal of Wardley Consulting Group. Although he works primarily through this avenue, Ian also collaborates with other firms on projects.Ian’s involvement in these large and complex projects covers a broad spectrum of project activities from project planning, project funding, project team structure and set-up, project procurement, including traditional and Public Private Partnership deliver methods, and implementation. As a member of several infrastructure project teams over his career, Ian has provided strategic advice to public sector owners, and provided direction and support to negotiations with public and private third-parties and funding partners.
