- A well-seasoned a PhD material scientist with over 10 years of research and product development experience in both academia and the industries.- Captured over HK$6M of research funding from the Hong Kong Government to establish projects that advance nanofiber technologies for various applications. Research output led to commercially available products (nanofiber-based multifunctional filters for HVAC systems and facemasks) in the Hong Kong market and captured two awards at International Exhibition of Invention of Geneva in 2018 and 2021.- Engaged in the synthesis of oxide-based nanomaterials (e.g. ZnO, TiO2) by various technique such as CVD or hydro/solvothermal methods, and their applications in various fields: antibacterial coatings, optoelectronics and photovoltics. Toxicity of various nanomaterials was also investigated. Expertise in large-scale electrospinning using Nanospider systems from Elmarco and experienced in polymer extrusion (e.g. single or twin-screw melt extruder).- Experts in a diverse array of materials characterization methods such as electron microscopy (SEM or TEM), XRD, elemental analysis (e.g., EDS and XPS), FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy, AFM, UV-vis, EPR, PL, etc. Extensive practical experience in different kinds of thin film deposition and treatment techniques such as thermal evaporation, sputtering, e-beam evaporation, spin-coating, MOCVD, PECVD, RIE, etc.- Seeking to use proven technical knowledge, communication, and project management skills to contribute and execute different science, research and engineering projects.
