Brought an aging 20th century DOS/Novell network from a fragmented and hub based state to a fully switched 1Gb backplane supporting a newly engineered virtualized server environment running Vmware ESX 3.5 with HA clustering, Vmotion, DRS, and Incremental Consolidated Backups on new Dell PowerEdge server hardware, SAN, KVM, and rack equipment with the assistance of the Jr. Network Administrator.Employed Linux/BSD based open source alternatives as server VM implementations to solve the business needs, at little to no annual operating/maintenance cost.
