Oversight of $150+ million combined annual budget. Management responsibility for nearly 100 staff members supporting organization's budget and finance operations, human resources, facilities and fleet, contracts and procurement, performance management, and the Houston Health Foundation.

Serve in an executive role supporting the Director of the Health and Human Services Department, including representing the Director's interest internally and externally on management, professional, financial or administrative matters. Management responsibility for the Office of the Director, Office of Performance Management, and the Houston Health Foundation.

Responsible for the successful implementation of solutions developed by the team to improve departmental operations, key performance indicators, and creation of the department's financial and operations dashboard.

Management of information technology staff servicing over 1,000 employees. Responsible for organization's technology communications, desktop support, application development, application support, and IT project management.

Responsible for communicating with division staff to develop an understanding of respective programs and activities to summarize relevant issues and progress to the Director. Regularly communicated with Department’s executive staff to increase cross-division communications and collaboration. Led out business improvement analysis to increase department efficiency. Served as the liaison to the Department’s fellowship program and evaluated program's progress and opportunities for improvement.

Analyzed and developed policy for elected official based on feedback from relevant stakeholders. Interacted with numerous public officials and agencies at the local, state, and federal levels and met with community stakeholders of policy issues or contracts to be voted on by the City Council. Served as the elected officials' representative during Council briefings, committee meetings, working groups, and reviewed contracts, budgets, and policies of city departments. Advised on policy issues pertaining to public safety and social wellbeing of the community.
