I received my Degree in Architecture (1997) and PhD (2002) from the ETSAUN with a dissertation on the architect Rafael Aburto awarded and published by the Caja de Arquitectos (2005) and awarded with the Culture Prize by the COAVN (2007). I was curator of an exhibition on Aburto sponsored by the Ministerio de Vivienda in Madrid (2005). Funded by the Fundación ‘la Caixa’, I graduated with Distinction from Harvard University GSD in 2002 with a Masters Degree (MDesS).I have been teaching Architectural Design at the ETSAUN (1997-2007), the Universidad Europea in Madrid (2007-09) and currently as Full Professor at the EINA of the Universidad de Zaragoza. I was a Visiting Teacher at the London AA (2000), a Guest Critic (2001) and Teaching Assistant at Harvard GSD (2002) as well as Guest Critic at TEC in México (2011), the FAUTL in Portugal (2012), the Università di Bologna (2013) and Universiteit Antwerpen (2014).Specialized in Modern Spanish Architecture, Photography and Urban Landscape, I have edited and published several books and essays on journals, and lectured in almost 20 International Conferences. I take part in several national and international research projects like the Docomomo FEDER Interreg SUDOE project “20th Century Architecture in Spain” or the I+D+i Project “Architecture and Photography in Spain 1925-65” (main Researcher and Curator of the Exhibitions at Museo ICO PHotoEspaña 2014 and 2016). I have been researcher at the CCA in Montreal (2010), the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, the CCP at the University of Arizona, Visiting Scholar at Columbia University New York (2012).In collaboration with Iñigo Beguiristain, we have received several architecture awards like the Chicago Athennaeum Award (2014), the Saloni Award (First Prize in 2006 and Finalist in 2009 and 2010), the COAVN Award (2013 and 2010) and Finalist of the FAD Awards (2013 and 2010). I have also displayed my artistic work as photographer in several Individual exhibitions.
