Mosscliff Environmental Ltd. was for many years one of the largest developers of on-shore wind and commercial / industrial solar PV projects in the UK. I was responsible for delivering new business and managing projects to point of commissioning in the SW region from our offices at Exeter University. Management of the SW team ensuring we delivered on target, on budget and on time.• Set up the new SW regional office from a standing start. Planning, budgeting, setting targets, market assessment, marketing & PR, lead generation, recruitment, CRM & reporting tools, regular reporting to directors. Management of a team of 6. • Assessment of client / site opportunities and limitations, designing the appropriate technology mix to deploy, modelling commercial benefits / financial projections, assisting clients with the decision making process. • Attainment of planning and related permissions; grid connection; finance provision; legal contracts & generally overcoming any complications. • Oversaw preparation of site / facility / paperwork required for our works; made certain any case idiosyncrasies were effectively communicated; Chaperoned client thorough the install process and handled any issues that might arise. • Ongoing technology and market assessment: Close scrutiny of government policy and industry information, projecting market developments, proposed strategies to capitalise / mitigate as appropriate. Engagement at industry & networking events. Assessment of related technologies; proposal of (and due diligence on) new systems and equipment. Liaising with suppliers to overcome technical issues or encourage product / package developments. • Successful sourcing and delivery of multiple projects. Average project value circa £250,000: Total SW project value in 2015 was just over £6 Million (against a £3.6 Million target in a turbulent market).
