Multiple diffusion MR images need to be acquired from a patient to estimate tissue properties like blood flow in the brain accurately, leading to long scanning times. To tackle this problem, we developed a physics-informed deep learning-based technique to select an optimal subset of MR scanner parameters that can produce a good estimate of tissue.

Examples of some problems I've worked on as part of my research trajectory include reducing the number of false-positive detections (incorrectly marking a non-diseased region as a tumor) made by deep learning segmentation algorithms, improving the analysis of ambiguous images by using labels from multiple experts to improve uncertainty estimation in deep.
