•Provide operational support and guidance to all field and program operational activities to ensure they implemented effectively and efficiently with a focus on Nuru’s vision and strategic objectives•Supervise the Nuru’s field operations, set defined expectations, provide logistics and security support as needed, and evaluate direct reports accordingly.•Manage petty cash in an effective, and be transparent and accountable.•Establish and maintain successful relationships with Local Government Offices, Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders and other key stakeholders in the field site.•Prepare high-quality progress reports on field operation and activities and ensure they are submitted on time.•Support in improving performance management systems and mentor all resident ad-hoc staff.•Ensure that inventory, supplies and stores received at the Field Office are well managed and accounted for in a transparent manner.•Implement and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline the process in the Field Office.•Support in the hiring of ad-hoc staff in the Field Office and other employees as required.•Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the team on the field to facilitate other business operations.•Manage schedules and deadlines of activities in the Field Office.•Organize and supervise other office activities such as recycling, renovations, event planning, petty purchases etc.•Ensure the Nuru Nigeria field staff adhere to policies and procedures of the Organization.•Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business developments.•Ensure that all materials dispatched to beneficiaries are properly managed, distributed and accounted for.•Ensure commodities and materials are received at the intended destination and all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to and maintained.•Frequently brief and consult the Assistant Security Office through a report of the activities on the Field to mitigate risk

• work with the leadership team to facilitate the Program Planning Process, a method used to co-design rural livelihood activities for communities living in extreme poverty• Provide technical support to Nuru’s Impact and Rural Livelihoods Programs and facilitate various capacity-building trainings for Nuru staff, farmer organization members, and relevant government officials. • Facilitate trainings, workshops, and community discussions using participatory and interactive methodology to ensure active participant engagement• Conducting TOT sessions for field officers to improve their facilitation skills• Ensure that training logistics are prepared and are available before the start of training and workshop sessions• Conduct pre and post assessments, gather evaluation forms, enter data, and conduct debriefs on training outcomes.• Adapt training facilitation techniques to improve training effectiveness• Ensure that field training activities are consistent with Nuru’s leadership, social cohesion and community development philosophy• Conduct observations of training sessions for the purpose of providing further assistance and supportCurriculum Development• Write, edit, and revise existing Nuru training curriculum and lesson plans to improve its application for rural Nigerian communities; contextualize Nuru International’s training materials to ensure it is applicable at the local level• Incorporate key themes of gender mainstreaming, resilience, behavior change and empowerment of local communities into existing Nuru curricula • Create engaging, interactive, and targeting activities for rural populations• Ensure lesson plans align with basic principles of adult learning best practices• Support implementation of leadership program activities

• Liaise with community groups, NGOs, CBOs associations and other community stakeholders to identify potential partners for the project activities. • Identify potential activities at the community level for project support. • Work with State Program Manager (SPM), and Abuja-based Program team, develop project ideas identified for support for YL/GL submission. • Work with community organizations to budget and prepare logistics activities • Monitor and report on routine program operational activities and scheduled program events, reporting activity summaries to SPM and Abuja-based Reporting Officer.• Work with staff to ensure project attendance at local events. • Collect information on program activities, including beneficiary targets.• Work with Program, M&E and Grants teams to create and maintain project trackers. • Support review of final Evaluation Reports and grant closing.• Attend focus groups to derive lessons learned to inform future project activities.• Assist in the development of activity ideas based on information collected in the field.• Facilitate linkages between communities as needed.• Any other duties suitable to task and commensurate with ability.
