After teaching myself how to program as a teenager, I became more interested in hardware while pursuing a double major in computer engineering and computer science. As I prepared for graduate school I realized that my interest in hardware could be applied to medicine, and opted to pursue a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering where I could use my extensive knowledge for the benefit of humanity. Building on my passion for serving others I have transitioned into a postdoctoral research associateship in the School of Medicine and Public Health at UW-Madison in preparation for medical school.
