As the Child Protection Officer, my primary responsibility is to safeguard children from violence, abuse, exploitation, and neglect during both normal and crises, whether caused by natural disasters, conflicts, or other emergencies. I work closely with government agencies such as the Ministry of Gender and Children's Affairs, the Ministry of Social Welfare, the Family Support Unit, the One Stop Center, and the Office of National Security (ONS) to ensure that victims of violence and exploitation receive the necessary psychosocial support and counseling. Additionally, I collaborate with these agencies to raise awareness about children's rights and advocate for the enforcement of legal measures against perpetrators.

Through the food security and livelihood project, I was successful in reducing hunger among vulnerable women and children in the Kailahun district by almost 30%. Increased youth involvement and participation in livelihood activities by 60%. Supported 40 small scales, female traders and farmers whose livelihood activities were disrupted by the outbreak of Ebola, with start-up capital and agricultural inputs to improve on their income and livelihood. Provided income generating activities for women and men directly or indirectly affected by Ebola
