East Abu Gharadig basin, (Diyur Field). The objective of this project is to predicting permeability from logs in facies with dissimilar pore geometries but apparently identical bulk volumes.

The aim of this project was to re-evaluate more than 40 wells for “ARC “member using the production data and core data (conventional & SCAL) to estimate the reserves.

• I was responsible for well planning, well surveillance, post well reporting, data QC and management, management of well site geologists, raising service requests and approval of invoices. I was also involved in the management of site surveys. I also covered operations in the Qarun office.• I was responsible for planning the geological operations of a potentially over pressured exploration well, creating coring and casing protocols, and overseeing an extensive wireline program that included the use of high profile technologies.

• I am responsible for ensuring that the geological objectives of the well are met, that the acquisition of the geological data is carried out safely and as per programmers, interpretation of the data at the well site and reporting to the project teams as well as communicating closely with all personnel involved at the well site. This responsibility includes overseeing the acquisition of and interpretating data acquired from gamma ray, resistivity, density, neutron, formation pressure while drilling, MDT, and sidewall coring tools. Good communications are critical, especially as the offshore team consists of many nationalities with very varied backgrounds. When I am not required at the well site during a rotation I work in the office mainly with the job of producing post-well geological reports and composite logs.
