Renoir is a global consulting firm specialising in implementation consulting. Ibrahim worked in a variety of teams and also individually on various projects, process analyses and on the implementation of new procedures and practices. He was responsible for analysing and defining the AS-IS in the client; identifying and prioritising opportunities; carrying out audits; generating solutions with the client`s staff; creating and communicating an implementation plan; gaining the support and approval of the steering committee; running the plan and tracking progress; maintaining the change, carrying out needs analyses and providing continuing support from the initial planning stages and throughout and following the implementation. Finally, in following up the process, he designed, implemented and analysed questionnaires in order to quantify the impact and identify any issues that needed further consideration. Through his close attention to detail and flexible and thorough approach to managing, communicating and working with clients he was able to achieve resource savings and improvements in a number of critical areas.

ALUMASC Building produce and purchase building products and sell them in the UK market. It can be considered as a middle size firm with an annual turnover of £20m. Ibrahim continued to develop his management and analytical skills and knowledge, taking on more responsibilities, working with the approval of senior colleagues to develop and implement new and novel processes to increase profits and decrease wastage. As a result of his work the company gained a new and more efficient supplier pool and were able to use new tools and processes to more effectively carry out price negotiations and to take advantage of improved customer communication processes to increase both turnover and profits.

Ekin Project is a large scale, international construction company which is responsible for the mechanical infrastructure (such as clean water, HVAC, electrical and automation systems) in industrial buildings. Ibrahim was recruited as part of a project team formed to implement ERP software in a construction business. This was a new and novel tool to this industry and required Ibrahim to make thorough analyses of present practices; to create new processes and customized software patches (for example for Interim Payment tracking); and to be responsible for the Procurement, Accounting, Material Control and Production Management modules. Because of his language skills Ibrahim was also given the responsibility for writing the required dual-language instruction manuals and for designing and delivering the training to the users before the module commissioning, running tests on the modules and giving feed back to the developers in the event of any issues. As a result of this challenging but successful project, the company was able to reduce wastage costs and increase profitability through, for example, the increased use of real-time information tracking.

Camis Ambalaj is a medium size printed card box producer from Istanbul. They mostly produce for other group companies.This was Ibrahim’s first professional position after graduating from university. In this post he was responsible for developing new business, working with senior colleagues to promote the company to new potential clients. He also developed an interest and skills in the IT sector, particularly the ERP systems. In this first professional post he was able to both use and to further develop his exceptional communication skills; increase his working knowledge of the industry and how it functions; gain a thorough understanding of business to business processes and procedures; gain experience of successfully working face to face with clients who had many different needs and concerns and working under pressure , managing time and dealing with potentially critical issues.
