Member Portal TeamAfter successfully transforming team dynamics, processes, and the SDLC on the Shared Services team in my previous role, I got to lead the Member Portal team. The Member Portal is a web app, available to over 9 million members who use it to get quick insights into saving money and seeing options for prescription drugs they are taking. The application stack consisted of a 4-year-old code base developed in ReactJs using MobX for state management and was in dire need of attention. The codebase had no tests, minimal processes, no linting or formatting, no documentation, no error reporting, and no performance monitoring. I played a major role in leading the transformation of the codebase to implement best practices.Key Achievements:• Grew team from 2 engineers to 8 after interviewing nearly 60 candidates• Conducted regular educational sessions with the team as the subject matter expert on API and full-stack development• Trained team on unit testing, enforced testing for all new code, and increased test coverage from 0 to 50%• Led efforts in planning, designing, prioritizing, and refining project and bug backlog• Played a major role in establishing a culture of learning and no ego on the teamProjects:• Architected and led projects to standardize federation.
