Main Responsibilities include:• Design and conduct routine, type and prototype tests of HV apparatus and dielectric materials using PWM, AC, DC and lightning impulse test setups up to 600 kV • Perform non-destructive diagnostics tests such as partial discharge (PD), capacitance and tan-delta, dielectric frequency response (DFR), sweep frequency response analysis (SFRA), thermal imaging, and electric field measurements for various manufacturer equipment of rating up to 300 kV• Prepare and maintain lab experiments and equipment for scheduled lab times• Provide mentoring and technical support to students and other HV lab users• Propose and implement improvements to the functionality, efficiency and utilization of lab equipment and space
