I identified inconsistencies in accounting and supporting documents, streamlined balance sheet accounts, and implemented controls to substantiate the GL balance with adequate support.Accruals Project• I initiated and led the validation of balance sheet aged items, identifying inappropriate accruals of $10.5 million for medical costs and $15 million for accrued liabilities.Process Re-designing Project• I initiated and led the Specialty benefits process re-designing project, fostering innovation in identifying non-value steps and unnecessary activities. This effort resulted in identifying a bi-monthly R&C dashboard activity that consumed more than 5 hours during month close. I collaborated with various stakeholders to understand the use of dashboards and proposed the elimination of the R&C dashboards task to leverage time for other production issues.LOB Audit Clean-up Project• I initiated and led the LOB Audit clean-up project, which identified approximately 5,900 audit requests pending from 2018. I worked with the Business implementation team to redesign the existing workflow, effectively handling audit requests while ensuring transparency and integrity in the LOB audit process.
