I am currently a Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Scientist at General Motors, where my primary function includes the development of frameworks, models, algorithms, and enterprise tools to support automated and autonomous driving systems. Examples of models and algorithms developed include the MD-Net model for the generation of lane and road edges from aerial images, the development of a framework and algorithm for the generation of road and lane lines from multiple data sources, including crowdsourced data, aerial (satellite) imagery and GPS-based High-Speed Vehicle Telemetry (HSVT) data. I also developed an algorithm for the fusion of map data from multiple map sources, overcoming the limitations of the various sources. In addition, I developed Computer vision algorithms for the extraction of map features from raster images, Deep-Neural-Network (DNN) models for object detection and classification using Deep Learning Frameworks, including TensorFlow and PyTorch, analysis and generation of semantics from vehicle perception data utilizing Front camera Module (FCM) and lidar, and deployment and monitoring of ML models using hyperscale ML pipelines including Kubernetes, Spark, Docker, and Argo.
