I partnered with the Attic Youth Center to plan and execute a pilot program named "The Thrive Project", which was a six-week summer workshop series rooted in service learning to empower Philadelphia's LGBTQ youth with multi-layers of knowledge, creative expression, first hand testimonies, experiences and support directly from Queer leaders of color who have spearheaded the narrative of building community, demanding justice, owning capital and business, and fostering self identity in the City of Philadelphia.

As Programming Committee co-chair I worked with my partner to develop and execute programs, events, etc. for Temple's Association of Black Journalists (TABJ). I used my networking skills to reach out to possible partner organizations on and off campus to provide quality programs for our members. TABJ is a professional student organization and we use that designation to give our members the opportunity to build their networks and resumes events, workshops, discussions geared toward professional development and job readiness.

I worked on various large projects including website auditing and the department's effort to go from a paper to digital file storage system. Other tasks included preparing documents, data entry, and both digital and physical filing.

Partnered with Galaei, a Queer Latinx social justice organization located in North Philadelphia to organize an town hall styled panel discussion centered on the January 2016 CDC report on predicted HIV diagnostic trends among Black and Latino MSM. The panel consisted of community leaders, activists, and representatives from the AIDS Activities Coordinating Office (AACO) and went over topics ranging from HIV statistic reporting and intentional health communications to prevention strategies and community involvement.

Partnered with The Attic Youth Center to engage with service providers who work with LGBTQ youth at the intersection of HIV/AIDS awareness and homelessness. Executed research methods such as surveys and focus groups at various organizations collecting data to be used in creating a cultural competency training tool to professionally develop these service providers to better support their LGBTQ constituents.

I held the role of board secretary for the Black Gay Men's Leadership Council (BGMLC). I took the minutes during all meetings, compiled and put them in a neat, digestible order for the reading of our constituents and anyone interested in what we did as an organization. I kept the records accessible to all members via use of Google Drive and online media platforms.

As a Stop coordinator on the 2012 Soulforce Equality Ride, I was responsible for organizing 5 days worth of activities and programming that spanned from potlucks and volunteer work to civil disobedience and direct actions. I was the contact person for all things happening during those days and had to work with people over the phone to organize everything. I was also in charge of the inventory of the bus and keeping an accurate account of supplies and work with all of the other stop coordinators to ensure that they had what they needed for their events and stops.
