With this role as Maintenance Planner and Culture & Engagement Site Champion, I was tasked with taking a deeper dive into local structure and developing process efficiency further. As Assistant Chief Engineering Manager during my last 8 years at this location, I was responsible for managing all plant engineering and maintenance operations for a high speed, high pressure 24/6 food manufacturing operation. Duties including but not limited to: develop and maintain continuous improvement of preventive maintenance program, employee development and coaching, contractor and personnel scheduling, parts ordering, inventory, budgeting, plant auditing, employee hiring, designing and directing occupational and food safety training activities, developing and managing food and ammonia safety programs, troubleshooting all process and plant premise equipment system components, on-call after hours support engineer, managing, developing and installing in house project improvements, PLC and HMI troubleshooting, basic programming. Developed trade skills to operate as manufacturing shift mechanic before being promoted to management role in just under 4 years. This includes but not limited to: answering line calls, learning low voltage 3 wire control and 3 phase 480 vac wiring, lathe and mill work, welding and fabrication (mig and tig), minor service on ammonia refrigeration system, working with slc 500 plc, replacing vf drives, changing motor contactors, performing equipment pm and project installations work.

Performed production line duties at various positions and sanitation of bakery equipment during downtime weekend periods. Ran, adjusted, and maintained different bakery machines insuring proper operational efficiency and logging of process standard checks to meet product quality assurance.
