Piping Solutions is a partnership between two companies that has over 35 years’ experience in the fabrication and installation of pipework, tanks, pressure vessels and structural steel components. Charian was a construction company capable of running in excess of 10 projects simultaneously Industrial and residential as well as civils and specialized work was undertaken. As owner and manager, I was responsible for all technical and management functions i.e. operations, staff recruitment, staff performance management, client liaison, marketing and finance.

Broadbent Civils specialized in commercial and industrial buildings including the related earthworks. Civils works were also undertaken. I managed project budgets ranging from R500,000 to R15 million. Recruited, selected and supervised building workers and sub-contractors. Managed 4 permanent Foremen and one buyer/receptionist. Responsible for direct line of communication with clients. Responsible for overall control of production from inception to completion of projects. Compiled cost estimates. Liaised with the engineer, architect and other professionals. In charge of the related civils works such as rock blasting, G-blok paving, concrete paving and premix.

Medium size residential building contractor operating throughout KwaZulu Natal province. I was responsible for the overall construction management of the Ulundi Branch and successfully completed and handed over approximately five units per week.
