I am computer vision and machine learning expert. I am interested in a range of AI applications from classical robotics/computer vision (e.g. sortation) to various generative AI applications such as text to image or text to 3D generation and program synthesis as well as program induction.I was fortunate to spend more than 10 years in academia, including four years as an Associate Professor in Computer Vision and Robotics at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. I have also recently started an Entrepreneur in Residence role in Cambridge Innovation Capital. My technical interests include:(i) generative models (diffusion, normalising flows, score based generative modeling), (ii) deep network architectures (CNNs, Transformers, State Space Models),(iii) classical computer vision (e.g. parametric and non-parametric shape estimation, localisation, semantic segmentation, object detection) as well as (iv) reasoning automation via. program synthesis via LLM agent systems and end-to-end program induction. My entrepreneurial interests include the intersection between generative AI, robotics and automation. Do not hesitate in touch if you would like to discuss the latest trends in these fields.See more: https://ignasbud.github.io/
