The Internal… Show more Inspection Générale – Hub North America is part of BNP Paribas’ global Internal Audit (Inspection Générale) group, a 3rd level of control function responsible for performing risk-based reviews of the Business, providing assurance vis-à-vis the effectiveness of the governance, risk management and internal control systems and processes, and – as applicable – advise management to anticipate and understand otherwise unexpected risks and put in place the adequate mitigating controls. The Internal Audit team helps senior management to protect the company’s reputation by avoiding financial and reputational damage. Where it is too late to prevent failure, the team investigates the problem, helps management deal with the after effects and establish guards against re-occurrenceResponsibilities / achievements:• Lead the annual audit planning process and oversee multi-disciplinary team of auditors in executing risk-based front-to-back audits of the Bank’s CIB Global Banking and Global Markets activities, support functions and transversal processes• Maintain and evolve the audit tools and methodology of the Group• Direct all facets of credit risk reviews and audits including (a) comprehensive risks assessments and continuous risk monitoring of the various Global Banking and Global Markets business lines/functions (b) designing appropriate audit procedures/programs• Acquired a deep knowledge of BNP Paribas Americas’ businesses, products and processes on all aspects of Global Banking (Origination franchise, Counterparty Credit Risk Management practice, Credit Risk Adjudication framework), Global Markets (including Primary & Credit Markets Origination, US Credit Trading & Solutions, Repo Trading, Commodity Derivatives), Securities Services and transversal support functions/processes• Member of the BNP Paribas "Leaders for Tomorrow" program which nurtures and supports the pipeline of successors identified to fill senior leadership positions Show less
