I developed my activity at BAXTER as Technical Service Manager, launching and developing the technical service department in Portugal. The main objective was to provide customers with high levels of technical response, supporting them from the choice of equipment to the end of its useful life, extending it at the lowest cost, with the best technical performance and greater safety for patients and users. I worked in the areas of automated dispensing systems of solid oral formulas in single and multi-dose, renal, transfusion therapies, anesthesia and infusion systems. I worked together with clients, redesigning and changing their laboratories and hospital units. I developed projects as diverse as the reformulation of the oral medication dispensing system in the largest public hospitals, the introduction of pathogenic inactivation of UV plasma in Portugal, the introduction of apheresis devices with automatic processing, separation of plasma and red blood cells and the development of a 24h / day technical support system for patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis at home. My team obtained the ISO 13485 + 9001 certification of the technical department. To achieve the proposed goals, in addition to others, the following activities were developed: management of the technical team, P&L management and investment plans, installation, qualification, quality control, validation and maintenance of medical devices, sale of maintenance contracts, definition and improvement of KPIs, development, implementation and evaluation of SLAs, spare parts stock management, quality management and EHS.
