TUNE is building the world's biggest mobile advertising platform! I work in the App Store Analytics team, which provides analytics on the organic side of app marketing. I've designed and built several customer-facing components, but have mostly worked on back-end data scaling issues, designing systems to better handle the growth of the available data and customer base.

SignalSense is building a system for detection of computer network intrusions and network misconfiguration using feed-forward neural networks. I assisted in building the application around the neural network, including build management, testing, deployment, the web UI, and the backend storage/alert mechanism. I also designed and built a framework for automating the neural network training process.

Back-end data analysis work: mostly the collection, reduction/aggregation, and analysis of large amounts of data, and transforming it into a format usable by our service.

While I was on leave from Trusera, I spent some time writing a simple file upload and verification web site for Catalist, so that people in the field could upload early vote/absentee vote data to Catalist.

Trusera was a company that worked on building a social networking site based around health issues. I helped drive the architectural design of the product and built much of the underlying components, including management of the content database and search engine data.

I helped work on a number of internal web applications for the 2004 Presidential Campaign (Kerry/Edwards). I actually worked for the DNC past November, but tele-commuted from Seattle, and most of my active work was during the 2004 campaign.

I worked at Amazon.com in a number of different jobs. First, I helped build several content-management systems for the editorial staff to put their content on the Amazon.com web site (mostly Articles, News collections, etc). Next, I helped build version 2 of their library classification database-input system. Finally, I worked on a number of projects for 3 years related to the analysis of their log data for business use, including their multivariate web site testing system (the analysis of which was done on a multi-node cluster).

I did basic tasks helping the nurse in the Outpatient Eye Surgery Clinic.

I helped build several web sites, along with a content management system for several web sites, for the Cobalt Group, eventually becoming the senior software developer on their team. The Cobalt Group built web sites for automobile dealerships, following designs specified by the manufacturers (Lexus, Nissan, Acura, Toyota, etc), but before that, they also built HomeScout (a real estate search engine), YachtWorld (a boat and yacht listing service), as well as an online catalog of parts for Sail Magazine.

Assisted students, staff and faculty who came in to the Academic Computing Center facility with their computers, as well as assisted people with using their modems to dial into the UW dial-up pool over the phone.
