My research delves into the role and molecular mechanisms of alternative splicing in cardiovascular diseases, aiming to identify new drug targets and develop innovative therapeutic strategies. This pursuit has led to several significant achievements: (1) Revealing the alternative splicing landscape of CaMKII-delta in the heart across multiple species and identifying CaMKII-d9 as the predominant splice variant in human hearts; (2) Uncovering the roles and signaling pathways of CaMKII-d9 in DNA damage, cardiomyocyte death, inflammation, and metabolism; (3) Screening and validating therapeutic strategies and small molecule compound targeting CaMKII-d. I hold a patent as the primary inventor, have authored 22 SCI-indexed publications, and serve as the first author or corresponding author on key papers in Nature Cell Biology and Circulation Research. I am supported by prestigious grants including the American TRDRP Postdoctoral Fellowship Award and the American Heart Association Career Development Award.
