Investigated the role of core planar cell polarity gene Vangl2 and its implications in Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) in a murine model. Supervised by Dr. Elena Torban PhD, member of the MeDiC research program.• Mastered laboratory techniques include microtome sectioning of embryonic and postnatal mouse kidneys, micro-dissection of mouse embryos, immunostaining, fluorescence and confocal microscopy, imaging analysis and cell culture.• Produced first-author manuscript published in the 13th edition of the McGill Student Undergraduate Research Journal, 2018. • Presented findings at the RI-MUHC Summer Student Research Day in 2018 and 2019. • Presented results at the Honours Anatomy and Cell Biology Undergraduate Thesis defence. • Produced first-author manuscript of embryonic and postnatal findings.
