Worked together with 2 other students on the ReVolt Demonstration Platform, which consists of one physical boat and a digital twin. The 2024 project focused on the digital twin. Was responsible for the control and guidance system. Developed and tested Functional Mockup Units (FMU) for heading control, speed control, thrust allocation, LOS (line of sight) guidance, and collision avoidance. Presented the work in the final week.
Njord organizes annual competitions where teams of students from all over the world work towards building and/or programming their own autonomous vessel.This year, Njord started developing its own autonomous surface vehicle, with the goal of using it for future competitions and learning more about maritime autonomy. Before the 2023 challenge, remote control was implemented and we started working on the sensor systems needed to make the vessel autonomous.

Operated a pressurized glass micromodel setup at elevated pressure and temperature, with the purpose of testing the equipment for future investigation of CO2 storage. I worked alongside one other summer student, and together we prepared fluids, set up the pressurized system, and monitored the process with cameras. I also wrote a program for analyzing the images in Matlab. Finally, we presented our results and suggestions for improving the equipment.
