Reporting to the senior director and responsible for all commercial activity in the MotoApps team. Providing technical and design reviews of proposals. Globally sourcing cost effective cutting edge applications mainly for post build integration. Commercial negotiations, preparing statements of work or licence agreements for legal and senior level review before signoff from a senior executive. Managing a multi million dollar budget, raising purchase requisitions and providing senior level reports. Directly responsible for a team of contractors providing help with the workload and providing support activities.

Reporting to the Software Business Management Director in a new department formed for the Symbian platform team in Europe. Continuing existing duties but concentrating on key application partners and content providersas the portfolio became much larger. Latterly embedded in the MotoApps team who sourced applications and content solutions globally for a wide arrange of devices.

Working alongside other internal departments such as project management and senior directors to provide a vendor selection, negotiation and documentation service including statements of work, memorandum of understanding and Licence agreements. Co-ordinating with the validation and development departments to ensure technical requirement specifications and acceptance test plans were mutually agreed with third parties. Meeting regularly with the hardware department to ensure the provision of new devices to the third parties and also provide feedback on some fault resolutions.

Worked on the software design of the device now branded as the Moto Z8. Launched at 3GSM 2007 this was a high visibility project within Motorola and in the Smart phone developer community. Originally placed in the UI development team working on the Multimedia GUI and MMI design and the subsequent outsourcing of this work.

Worked with the feature phone development team on a very popular range of devices. Involving working in an embedded environment during full product life cycle. Designed and wrote software then followed it through the debugging, validation and maintenance phases of the product.

Bell Fruit Games is one of the leading manufactures of AWP’s and SWP’s (reel based and quiz gaming machines) in Europe. Working in a small team on several conversions from the standard mechanised AWP to the new generation of video AWP’s. Written in C++ using MFC and Direct Draw. Developed a roulette game for both fixed odds betting, club and AWP sites using a new generation touch screen video terminal.

Team leading a small group of developers working with WinCE and the Symbian EPOC platforms developing a system for managing games in a 3G online mobile environment.
