• Support the mission of IDEA Public Schools who believes that each and every child can go to college. Since 2001, IDEA Public Schools has grown from a small school with 150 students to the fastest-growing network of tuition-free, Pre-K-12 public charter schools in the United States. • Partner with 16 school leadership teams to recruit for and fill over 500 vacancies for the Lower Rio Grande Valley. • Build and foster recruitment pipelines and host numerous recruitment events leading to teacher applications. • Strategically engage in individual outreach to ensure that top prospects become applicants. • Identify top sources of talent and increase recruitment efforts within these pipelines. • Leverage other staffing team members as well as other stakeholders to attend events• Synthesized quantitative and qualitative data for hiring partners to support them in reaching hiring and staff retention goals

Ensure 100% of instructional staff are recruited, hired, and onboarded by first day of school for IDEA Lower Valley Schools and reach an 85% teacher retention rate• Ensure 100% of Relay Resident year 1 and 2 are recruited, hired and onboarded by July 2020• Efficiently screen candidates via application and video interview review, and phone interviews to effectively match candidates to vacancies.• Provide weekly retention updates and lists of potential leavers for regional/campus interventions through-out the year

Establish a vision for the grade level in coordination with school leaders and establish specific goals for the grade-level team.• Establish a structure for team collaboration, decision-making, and grade level team meetings.• Develop the agenda and facilitate grade level team meetings on a regular basis (frequency to be decided on with the school leadership team and the grade level team).• Meet and collaborate with other grade level chairs within the building to share and discuss progress, successes, challenges, and problem solve solutions.• Lead the team’s efforts to identify and implement solutions to challenges. • Lead the grade level team’s tracking and analysis of student-related data and work with teachers on the team to plan for the differentiation of instruction based on the student data.• Provide differentiated support to grade level teachers to support continuous improvements in their instructional practice.• Contribute to hiring decisions for the grade-level team

•Implement formal and informal assessments to track each individual student’s progress and learning needs, adjust lesson plans accordingly •Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus- wide initiatives while developing students’ character and sense of community in the classroom•Help shape and develop a school wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student•Host necessary after-school and Saturday tutoring sessions to meet all students’ needs•Participate in weekly professional development, grade-level meetings and activities, and school wide meetings and functions
